Peter Reijrink
In 2001 Peter Reijrink started playing clarinet and after studying Klosé, Jeanjean, Baermann, etc. he began to write down what he would like to master; he wrote a series of thirty-one etudes called 'De Études'. Twenty-one were performed by solo clarinet (these can only be heard on this site) and twenty by the group Almen.
Het Sextet
Het Sextet was founded to play improvised music and original compositions. It is 'Almen' plus two.
They have been playing jazz and improvised music together off and on since 1982.
Most of the music is written by Peter Reijrink.
